Also, the trolls told them to teach her to learn to CONTROL her powers. Her parents told her to HIDE and SUPPRESS her powers. Now you see an accurate portrayal of what happens when you keep pain and problems locked up and bottled down for too long.
Elsa and her character arc felt so much like a metaphor for mental health issues, esp depression (for me personally).
One of the producers (I think) Did say that Elsa’s story is definitely deeply laced with anxiety and depression.
whoever’s reading this, i pray that you find happiness. not temporary happiness, or “if i pretend and put on a smile & laugh, maybe i’ll be happy” kind of happiness, but long lasting real happiness. the kind of happiness that makes ur face glow & lights up ur soul. you deserve it
